Thank You!

To all the residents who turned out to ask the candidates questions on the upcoming election. Also all the candidates who took the time and effort to explain and answer questions. And particularly those who moderated the event and filmed it for CAT-TV at a later time. Your efforts are appreciate by our community.

Albert A. Lafontaine elected constable

I would like to thank the voters from the Town of Pownal for their overwhelming support in the town's elections. I will never forget the people from the town no matter how long I should live and will always be proud to have them as my neighbors. I would like to thank all my friends who allowed me to put my signs up in their yards and supported me through the campaign process. I would also like to thank Sergeant George Babcock for his support, guidance and standing out in the cold for me during the election. My most sincere thanks and devotion goes to my wife Laurie who has made me a better person and who endured the bitter cold all day to support me. With friends and neighbors like all of you, and a wife like Laurie, I am the most blessed person in the world. Thanks also to Jody, Dave and Andrew for running a great campaign and being the type of quality people that Pownal needs.

Sincerely,

Albert A. Lafontaine

Constable

Contacted the BCSD

Awaiting word if we might gain for the page some of their data on a weekly and or monthly basis. Hope to have an answer shortly. Thanks to a Real Vermonter for this suggestion. If we are able this will paint a more complete picture of the public safety in Pownal.

April 2009. BCSD only participates in grant programs here in Pownal such as "click it or ticket" or county wide checkpoints, that are supported by grant monies. No patrols are made in Pownal. Several officers bring their cars home and this will explain seeing them on our roadways.
