T-Shirts for Pownal's 250th:
"Since 1760 -- True Vermont" The t-shirts are available two ways. (1) E-mail the designer, Walt Klinger, at uposl@sover.net or (2) go to Camelot Village Antiques on Route 9 West in Bennington and dealer 509, "Red Cow." Walt designed the t-shirts for our 250th anniversary, and profits will go to help support other anniversary projects. The t-shirts are $10.00 per shirt, a 50/50 cotton-poly blend, in denim blue, with sizes from adult small to extra large.
November 1, Sunday: The next American Legion Breakfast, starting at 8 a.m.
November 14, Saturday: Book Sale at Solomon Wright Libraray
The Fall Book sale at the Solomon Wright Public Library will be on Saturday November 14th.
Hours of the sale are 10am -4:30 pm . Find mysteries, biographies, cookbooks, crafts, history, romance, children's books all at bargain prices.
All are welcome and be sure to sign up for our door prizes! All proceeds raised will be used for a matching grant for a new public access computer.
Donations welcome, and for further information call the library during regularly scheduled hours at 823-5400.
Thursdays, Bingo at the American Legion--Doors open at 5 p.m.
January 8th, 2010: The Opening Event of Pownal's 250th Anniversary Year
7 p.m. at the elementary school gym. Open to the entire community.
